Circa early 60's authentic couture evening ensemble (dress and jacket) designed by Coco Chanel. Custom designed for the wife of a prominent lumber magnate who wore dresses only once. Therefore, ensemble is in excellent condition with no wear.

Uniquely designed on a ground of silk organza with multicolor shades of purple, silver and blue in a shimmering cellophane fabric. Designed with tinsel strips in a herringbone pattern. Sleeveless, round neckline and concealed asymmetric zipper closure with a slight ruffle organza trim down zipper closure. Skirt in an A line style. Matching silk slip and quintesential Chanel chain at hemline of dress.

Matching collarless box style jacket in identical fabric and pattern lined in silk organza with signature Chanel chain at hemline. 3/4" length sleeves and single hook closure at neckline. Chanel Couture label in jacket and numbered 33258.

dress bust: to 36"; waist: 32"; hips: 38-39"; length: approx: 42"

jacket bust: approx: 39-40"; length: 21"; sleeve: 20"; shoulder: approx: 14 1/2"

**Note: as in all Chanel garments there is fabric allowance to enlarge if necessary.

Condition: Fresh and crisp; excellent with no holes, stains; cellophane strips are delicate there are some that are loose which can be tacked down or cut. In any case this Chanel Couture evening ensemble can be worn as is immediately.
