Dior 1961 Rockefeller gown

An important scarlet red duchess satin three (3) piece evening ensemble designed by Marc Bohan, for his very first 1961 Haute Couture Collection for the House of Dior, entitled "The Slim Look". As the new fashion director for the House of Dior, Bohan continued to enjoy the patronage of royalty and celebrity clients and continued to design elegant and stylish looks in the Dior tradition.

This evening ensemble is fashioned of rich vibrant scarlet duchess satin and consists of three (3) pieces: the slender sheath with attached black net corset; long tunic overlaid by a separate shorter top with cross over back with attached large bow completing the look.
