1999 John Galliano, for the House of Dior, designed a homage to Mariano Fortuny. This Delphos gown fashioned of accordian pleated teal china silk in the fashion of the original Fortuny Delphos. Glass beads trimmed at neckline, armholes, and hemline. Back kickpleat. Galliano's Dior "Fortuny" collection was quite expensive. Approx retail on this Delphos gown was $15,000.
