Fortuny inspired pleated dress, designed by John Galliano for The House of Dior for his Fortuny Collection. The collection showcased a variety of Fortuny inspired dresses and gowns, paying homage to the great Mariano Fortuny. It is rare to find one of these dresses from that collection. Dress fashioned of eggshell white hand pleated china silk in a 20's inspired style with silk cord beaded spaghetti straps, neckline and hemline very much in the manner of an authentic Fortuny pleated Delphos or Peplos gown. A modern Dior twist on a magnificent 1920's style. Size: 40; bust: 32"; waist: 28": hips: 34"; length: 40" (has attached silk slip lining with side zipper closure and snaps.
