Jacques Fath

Rare Jacques Fath circa early 80's oversized high fashion coat fashioned of chartreuse green melton wool and made in France. Designed with kimono inspired styling adorned with a dramatic wide shawl collar and unique top-stitched panel detailing throughout emphasizing shape. Concealed hip pockets. Offered in unworn condition with tags. Belt is missing and I used a belt to give you an idea of how it might look belted. Also, you can always make a belt (if needed) from the hemline of the coat. Either way it looks quite stylish either belted or unbelted.

Size: 40; bust: to approx. 42-43"; waist: approx. 36"; hips: free; sleeve: 23.5"; shoulder: 21"; length: 60"+

Condition: offered with tags; excellent unworn condition. Belt not included.

History: Jacques Fath was a French designer in the late 30's up until 1954 when he died of Lukemia. He was considered an amazing superstar designer in spite of his short life in the fashion world. His pieces are quite rare as he only designed for a short time. The House of Fath was reopened in the late 70's early 80's and that is where this coat originates. Fath would have been proud of this design ... very dramatic and high fashion just like all his creations in the early 40's and 50's.
