Noted Hollywood costume designer Howard Greer is known for designing spectacular glamorous evening wear. Today, his representative designs are rare and hard to find Not only was Howard Greer an important costume designer during the era of Old Hollywood Glamour, he is also considered an important American fashion designer. More recently, some of his dresses appeared in the movie Sex & The City and Sarah Jessica Parker wore one of his dresses to an award ceremony.
The dress being offered is an iconic creation from Greer's evening wear designs for the American market. Fashioned in two-tone earthtone tulle, with strapless, gently ruched bodice extending into a 5-tier net skirt. Bodice is boned with additional sheath silk underskirt beneath the layers of netting. The entire creation is gracefully showered in sequins for just the right touch of sparkle. Condition: excellent condition with no wear. Bust: to 36"; waist: 27"; length: approx 43"  |
