Zandra Rhodes

Circa Summer 1976 Cactus and Cowboy Collection designed by Zandra Rhodes. At the time Rhodes was the first and only fashion designer (European or American) to design a Cactus and Cowboy collection with inspiration from the American Old West.

Dress fashioned in two (2) turquoise and white color large cactus and inverted arrow print on silk chiffon. Japanese inspired style pull on dress with elasticized waistband anchored with her signature white satin tie belt. Further embellished with seed pearl trim. This was the Rhodes signature style of dress in the 1970's married with an original theme textile print representing a chapter of her life. The Cactus and Cowboy collection is featured as a chapter in her book "The Art of Zandra Rhodes" on page 141. This particular print is one of the prettiest textiles of her compilation and is an iconic artistic representation of her work.

Condition: excellent; a few minor tears that have been mended and are not apparent due to the pattern of the dress.
