Michaele Vollbrach

Rare evening ensemble consisting of a long silk dress and matching coat by noted American artist/designer/author and former creative director for Bill Blass, Michaele Vollbrach. His work can be found in many museum collections.

From Vollbrach's rare 1980 collection entitled "Tulips in Rapid Motion" created in very limited production for Neiman Marcus and is considered to be a Couture design. Kimono inspired coat is fashioned of ivory quilted silk and handpainted in vibrant red and green tulip pattern accented with an occasional black butterfly. Coat is richly lined in red silk. Sleeveless plunging neckline long halter dress with ties that start at neckline and wrap-around waistline designed in matching pattern of coat.

Condition: excellent; wearable.
