Yves Saint Laurent

Circa 1970's authentic and unlabeled Yves Saint Laurent Couture black silk velvet and pink jacquard silk evening ensemble originally owned by the Princess of Savoy. I acquired three (3) pieces all together of YSL Couture from her collection two (2) of which are labeled and identical in workmanship as the one I am offering and can be viewed on my website. This ensemble is stunning and the coat similiar in style to the Met's 1984 YSL retrospective catalogue on page 92. Designed with an Asian influence the long coat fashioned of black silk velvet with collar to be worn in mandarin style or not with elegant slightly bell sleeves adorned with jet buttons at wrist. Nineteen (19) jet buttons with loop front closures. Long side slits showcase the pretty pink silk of the skirt. Coat entirely trimmed in YSL signature black silk braid. Coat extravagently lined in pink jacquard silk all hand done and matching the pink silk jacquard long evening skirt. Makes a magnificent fashion statement and a classic that is current today. Coat Bust: to 34-35"; waist: 30"; hips: approx. 38"; length: 66"; sleeve: 26"; shoulder: 14"; Skirt waistband: 28"; hips: approx. 38: length: 60"+ Condition: beautiful condition; guaranteed authentic; unlabeled; very faint soiling at skirt hemline (so faint quite difficult to see); small portions of skirt hemline need to be tacked. Coat is excellent. Provenance: Princess of Savoy (UK) |
